Abseil Access provided a coating and corrosion survey followed by repairs to the interior steel surface of the twin penstocks.
The penstocks drop 170m down a steep slope to feed the main turbines. Due to operational requirements, the project had to be completed within 5 days. All corrosion sites were recorded with adhesion and DFT testing completed. Work began immediately on the corrosion sites working to ST2. All sites had high build epoxy applied to an Altex specification.
