Suspended mid-air within a geometric steel structure, a rope access technician in red coveralls conducts maintenance. The professional is secured by a complex system of ropes, with the indoor environment visible through the glass facade in the background, highlighting the blend of architecture and specialised high-altitude work.

Majestic Building Sculpture Inspection

The “Majestic Earth” sculpture by renowned NZ artist Neil Dawson is suspended above the main atrium of the Majestic Centre, Wellington. Following a failure of the support system in 2010, we have been conducting annual Close Visual Inspections (CVI) of the sculpture and its attachment points, providing an accurate and detailed condition monitoring program of these anchors, cables and fittings.

The scope includes developing an access, rescue, and general public access control plan and detailed visual inspection reports for comparable results.
