Stage 1 of the Kawatiri track is now open. It runs from Westport to Carters beach. Abseil Access did the design and build for the bridges and the worked closely with Westreef who built 800m of boardwalk through the amazing wetland.
Martins Creek bridge uses stainless steel component throughout, even the main cables. It’s quite shiny. No, its not named after the managing director.
