Abseil Access is a finalist in the prestigious New Zealand Bridges awards. The awards held every three years acknowledge excellence and craft in bridge building. The Nile Bridge on the Kawatiri Coastal Track linking Westport to Charleston has been acknowledged for its aesthetics, innovation and economy in the Small Medium Structure Category.
The awards will be held in March next year at the New Zealand Bridges Summit. Abseil Access director Martin Wilson says he is quietly confident of an award, though he says whatever the outcome it is a great honour to have one of our bridges acknowledged this way.
